WEATHER UPDATE:

Despite the impending rain and wind, we are pleased barbecue will still have a place during this weekend’s Wide Open Bluegrass Festival. Our well-anticipated Barbecue Experience Dinners on Friday, October 2 and Saturday, October 3 will still take place.

For the second year, the sights and smells of barbecue will engulf downtown Raleigh during the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Wide Open Bluegrass Festival. Friday, October 2, Dinner:
Back for the second year, Chef Matthew Register of Garland, NC’s Southern Smoke BBQ, will be preparing a barbecue feast on Friday night. Using North Carolina’s Heritage Farms pork, Chef Register’s barbecue plate will include his oak wood smoked pork and Southern staple sides. Saturday, October 3, Dinner:
Linwood Parker and White Swan of Smithfield are back for the second year with the traditional eastern North Carolina barbecue, coleslaw, hushpuppies and banana pudding.
